Welcome to Giants Baseball Club

Our Aspiration

The Giants Baseball Club aspires to be the preeminent baseball club in the association through the fostering and development of the fundamentals of baseball.

About Giants Baseball Club

The St. George and Sutherland Giants Baseball Club was established in 1915, and has continuously operated since then. Giants enters junior teams (U8 through to U16) in the Cronulla-Sutherland Junior Baseball Association Summer competition and All-Age teams in the St George and Cronulla minor league competition in both summer and winter. Our grounds are at Taren Point, and our players come from the surrounding suburbs in the Sutherland, Rockdale and Kogarah council areas. Giants usually field around 13 junior teams and 3 All Age teams, and are consistently successful, with the majority of teams making the playoffs. Giants prides itself on being a family club with an emphasis on fair play and enjoying the game. We actively encourage parent participation and work towards teaching not only the skills needed to play baseball but the sportsmanship to go with it.

Coaching Credentials

Our coaching staff are the pride of the club starting with our Head Coach who has coached many club, grade and representative teams. We actively encourage our older representative players to coach our younger teams and our focus is on teaching the fundamentals.

Representative Opportunities

For those interested in pursuing representative opportunities the CSJBA, Baseball NSW and Australian baseball has well-structured representative programs that begin in the U10s with ‘Rookie Reps’ and progress through to National titles at older ages. With the Australian Baseball League’s affiliation with Major League Baseball in the US the opportunities are only limited by what the individual can achieve. The Giants Baseball Club annually has strong representation in representative teams from the youngest to the highest levels.

Our Diamonds

Our diamonds are located off Holt Road behind Flower Power at Taren Point. Giants Baseball Club has 3 dedicated diamonds each with permanent covered dugouts. Our Main Diamond is suitable for all levels of play while Diamond 2 is a dedicated Zooka/Little League diamond and Diamond 3 a dedicated Tee-ball diamond. Our grounds have canteen and toilet facilities. During the season, a part from club games, our diamonds are also used to host occasional representative fixtures.
